Teaching-Learning Projects
These are some quick links to what I’m doing at the moment and things I’ve done in the past. I will add comments and reflections later. If you are interested in sharing similar experiences or you would like to post or email me questions, simply use the comments section or contact me through this website.
My experiences as an instructional designer have been in :
- Teacher – Student- Students using moodle / LMS (social construction of meaning and learning)
- Teacher – Teacher communities using moodle (critical thinking and reflective teaching practice)
- Student – Teacher using Google documents (interactive and just-in-time language instruction)
- School or Training organization using live toolbars with students ( Providing easy access to meaningful resources to a target learning group)
- Delivering training experiences online (communities of practice)
You may want to visit EXSEL, Excellence in Social and Emotional Learning to see how students, teachers, school administrators, parents and counselors have come together to integrate Social and Emotional Intelligence in the curriculum in New York City school districts. With Angela Peng I had the opportunity to work as their web developer back in 2003-2004. The credit, though, goes to the experts involved and the school communities participating in the project.
